Keep Harlow Wild: Explore, Connect, and Preserve with Friends of Harlow Lake.

Friends of Harlow Lake (FOHL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and official partner of the MDNR. We are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the Little Presque Isle (LPI) tract, which includes the scenic Harlow Lake area with its unique granite bedrock, forests, beaches, and lake views.

FOHL's mission is to promote and preserve the natural beauty of LPI through trail building and maintenance, open trail use advocacy, and environmental education. We aim to ensure that this beautiful area remains accessible and enjoyable for generations to come while fostering a strong sense of community and stewardship among trail users.

FOHL is community of volunteers. Whether you’re most comfortable contributing time to help achieve our advocacy goals, money to help us grow, or energy to put political pressure on our governments to keep this natural landscape open to the public, we need you on our team.

"Exploring the trails around Harlow Lake has been a transformative experience for me. Being able to connect with nature while hiking or mountain biking has brought me a sense of peace and clarity that I can't find anywhere else. The beauty of the area is unmatched, and I feel so grateful to have access to it."
